Identity
Corporate Identity and Logo Design
This is my specialist subject, I love every aspect of graphic deisgn but this is the area I get the most pleasure out of. Seeing my logos used around the world is such a great feeling, knowing all the elements that have gone into making the company a more visible one.
My design procedure seeks an appropriate and just solution in all projects, whether that’s a full rebrand for a company or major public body, or a business card for a small start-up.
The Process
Who you are.
I make it my priority to gain a thorough understanding of every
business I work with. This includes an assessment of the sector you
operate in and your current position within that market, through to
specific knowledge of your offerings and target market. This
process is essential and I regard it as one of the most important
parts of any project.
By listening to you, I aim to gain a real insight into who you are: your brand values and the fundamental essence of your brand - your reason for being.
Naturally I'll also take the time to understand your objectives for the project in hand, but perhaps not without challenging them first!
Interpretation
Once I feel I've immersed myself sufficiently in the culture of your company, I step back, and take some time to reflect. This is when I form concepts, consider strategies, figure out how I'm going to do an impeccable job, and finally get stuck in and work relentlessly - until I love where I'm going.
My clients won’t hear too much from me during this phase; I like to hibernate and burn the midnight oil. But when I do get back in touch (on the date that was agreed, of course!), I'll be overbrimming with excitement (if a little exhausted) and ready to present the fruits of my labour.
Application
Having presented my solution and given you the time to sleep on it, I'll receive and digest your feedback before returning to make refinements. During this stage I'll work collaboratively with you to ensure you’re equipped with everything you imagined you would be, and usually a bit more.
